Miriam Avery, CSFS
President/Consultant

  • Employee Benefits Consultant and Advisor with over 20 years experience
  • Certified Self-Funding Specialist
  • Multiple Award-Winning Leader in the Insurance Industry
  • Long Term Care Consultant

Miriam began her career in employee benefits marketing the Yellowstone Community Health Plan for St. Vincent Hospital in the mid 1990’s.  She worked as an Employee Benefits Advisor and Consultant in progressively larger firms over the ensuing years.  She finally left the world of large firms as Vice-President, Consultant, and Shareholder in January 2017 and opened Miriam Avery Insurance Agency, Inc. This agency is built on the foundation of her belief that personal relationships matter, understanding and placing the needs of the client first is of utmost importance.

Consistent with this belief, Miriam spends a great deal of her time working in the Billings community on causes close to her heart.  For many years Miriam sat on the YWCA Board of Directors, an organization dedicated to saving and changing lives, offering a hand up rather than a hand out, and focusing on projects which enhance the future of the women in the community.

Miriam is a first generation Cuban-American.  Originally from New Jersey, she enjoyed a successful career in real estate and had the opportunity to live in Singapore before moving to Billings nearly 30 years ago.  She graduated Summa Cum Laude from MSU-B in 1996 with multiple awards including Outstanding Senior and the Wall Street Journal Award.
